Patrick Neill Millsaps
Patrick concentrates his practice in Civil Litigation and corporate representation. He represents a wide variety of clients including the First United Ethanol, LLC, the City of Camilla, the Bank of Camilla and the Mitchell County School Board. He has also served as special counsel to the Governor of Georgia and represented the Georgia Department of Community Health.
A native of Cobb County, Georgia Patrick Millsaps graduated from McEachern High School. He is a cum laude graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Georgia School Of Law and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2000. He began his legal career working with famed criminal defense attorneys; Edward T. M. Garland and Don Samuel. He then practiced with his mentor, prominent Cobb County Attorney, Hylton B. Dupree, Jr.
In 2004, Patrick formed The Millsaps Law Firm. Millsaps is admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Federal Courts of the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, he is certified as a civil mediator and arbitrator by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
Patrick has been recognized by James Magazine as being one of Georgia's Top Legal Leaders in 2005 and 2006 and one of the "Most Influential Georgians of the Year" in 2007 and 2008. In 2006, Millsaps was named as one of Southwest Georgia's 40 most influential people under the age of 40 by the Albany Herald. He served as the President of the Mitchell County Bar Association (2005) and also remains active in the Cobb County and Dougherty Circuit Bar Associations. He also served as the Solicitor of the Juvenile Courts of Mitchell and Baker Counties.
